John Wilson Hart, 95, of Dyersburg, TN, passed away on Tuesday, October 22, 2019 at his residence.

John was born on January 19, 1924, in Dyersburg, TN, to the late Page and Sybil Wilson Hart. He was a retired salesman with Heckethorn Manufacturing and proudly served his country in the United States Army during WWII. John was a member of the Gideons, served 20+ years as a Red Coat and was very active in Relay for Life. He formerly attended First Cumberland Presbyterian Church and currently attending First Christian Church.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, October 25, 2019 at First Christian Church with Pastor Jeff Hall officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, October 24, 2019 at First Christian Church.

Survivors include his daughter, Laura Hart of Dyersburg, TN; two sons, John P. "Buddy" Hart (Debra) and Harry Hart, Sr. (Sonia), all of Dyersburg, TN; three grandchildren, Harry Hart, Jr. (Melissa), John P. Hart, Jr. (JoAnna) and Hunter Hart (Katie); seven great-grandchildren, Mia, Madi, Makayla, Palmer, Savannah Kate, Hilton and Harris; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his wife, Harrylyn Hoover Hart; a brother, Page Vernon Hart, Jr.; and an infant child.

Pallbearers will be Harry Hart, Jr., John P. Hart, Jr., Hunter Hart, Jeff Greene, Timm Orr, Page Hart, Richard McDivitt and Sammie Arnold. Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Cox, Tracy Lamb, Chuck Barrineau, Wes Turnbo, Greg Petty, LaWayne Petty, Ben Ragan, Johnny Shannon and Tommy Hoover.

Memorials may be directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Dyersburg/Dyer County Union Mission or to a charity of the donor's choice.
