Dorothy Waldron Hayes, 91, of Dyersburg, TN, passed away on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at West Tennessee Healthcare Dyersburg Hospital.

Dorothy was born on August 31, 1929, in Graham, Mississippi, to the late, John and Lela McGill Waldron. She was a retired employee with Wal-Mart. Dorothy was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church, where she attended the Women's Sunday School Class.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, February 20, 2021 at Fairview Cemetery with the Rev. Lynn King officiating. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

The family will receive visitors from 1-1:45 p.m. Saturday, February 20, 2021 at Dyersburg Funeral Home.

Survivors include her daughter, Teresa Hayes Tharp (George Ed) of Kingwood, TX; two grandchildren, Tammy Lynn Tharp and fiancé, Ben Carpenter of Kingwood, TX and Lindsey Hayes Viser (William) of Arlington, TN; a great-grandchild, Isla Viser of Arlington, TN; a niece, Jennifer Sampson (Andy) of Dyersburg, TN; a nephew Mark Waldron (Cyndi) of Dyersburg, TN; and her close friend, Julie Chandler of Dyersburg, TN.

In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her son, Robert Anthony "Tony" Hayes; and a brother, John Thomas Waldron.

Pallbearers will be Will Viser, Ben Carpenter, Brad Studard, Blake Chandler and Cedric Taylor.
