Eugene Peter Kuta, 78, of Tiptonville, died Tuesday, March 30, 2010 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center.
He was a retired sawmill worker for Roberson Brothers Sawmill, a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War, a member of Tiptonville First Baptist Church, and a member of American Legion Post 451 for over 50 years.
A memorial service will be at 5 p.m. Thursday at Tiptonville First Baptist Church with the Rev. Steve Carr officiating.
Survivors include two daughters, Norma Schmiderer, of Milwaukee, Wis., and Christine Kuta, of Tiptonville; two sons, Eugene Kuta and Raymond Kuta, both of Tiptonville; three sisters, Evelyn Mick, Delores Dusseau, and Ilene Pointon, all of LaPorte, Ind.; three brothers, Stanley Kuta and Edmund Kuta, both of LaPorte, Ind., and Thomas Kuta Jr., of Michigan City, Ind.; thirteen grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Harriet Kuta; and his parents, Thomas and Carey Jadszczak Kuta.
