Robert "Bobby" Borden passed away at his residence on November 28, 2015 at the age of 82. He was born on November 21, 1933 to Martha Jean Moore Borden and Uel Dean Borden, who preceded him in death.

Mr. Borden was a retired veteran of the U.S. Marines and U.S. Navy. He was a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

Graveside services will be at Fairview Cemetery in Dyersburg on Monday, November 30 at 11:30 a.m. Dyersburg Funeral Home will be in charge.

He is survived by 3 daughters, Charlene Clement (John) of Munford, Cathy Throgmorton (Stan) of Dyersburg, and Carol Mecklin (Bobby) of Munford; 1 son, Charles Moore, Jr. (Jean) of Dyersburg; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; a sister, Patsy Leishman of Altadena, CA; 2 brothers, Royce Borden of Alexandria, VA and Jimmy Borden of Dyersburg.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Dixie Wise Borden; a sister, Jewell Shipe; and brothers, Harold Borden and Jerry Borden.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. Monday at Dyersburg Funeral Home.
