Lela Hortense Cooley Davis Dudley, 93, of Dyersburg, passed away on Tuesday, July 30, 2013 at The Bridge at Ridgely.
She was a retired employee from GTE Sylvania, member of Springhill Baptist Church, worked as a hostess at several local restaurants and she was "everybody's Grandma".
Services will be at 3 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Bro. Jack Henry and Bro. Terry Lynch officiating. Burial will be in Dyer County Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive visitors from 5:30-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Survivors include her two daughters, Beverly McCulloch and husband, Allen, of Newbern and Sharon Davis of Savannah; a step-son, Donald Dudley and wife, Sue Ann, of Dyersburg; four grandchildren, Kimberly Dubrule (Ross), Wendy Gatlin, Jayson Gregson (Misty) and Amanda Gregson; two step-grandchildren, Donna Mills (Richard) and Allen Dudley (Melissa); seven great-grandchildren, Karen Paschall (Landon), Kayla Dubrule, Anna Gregson, Gracie Gregson, Cinnamon Gregory, Fariah Gregory and MeKenzi Anderson; seven step-great-grandchildren, Michael Dubrule (Deborah), Kate Griffin (Adam), Karen Gatlin, Brad Gatlin (Chrissy), Jonathan Dudley, Matthew Mills and Emily Mills; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Hugh Davis and Richard Dudley; her parents, John and Lela Goff Cooley; a son, Bobby Wayne Davis; three sisters; three brothers; and a grandson-in-law.
Pallbearers will be Jayson Gregson, Landon Paschall, Bradley Harris, Hunter Alston, Allen Dudley and Michael Dubrule. Honorary pallbearers will be Paul W. McCulloch, Mike McCulloch, Tommy Bottoms, Tim Knapp, Eric Markham, Pete Anderson, Jerry Seratt and Paul Stephens.
The family requests that memorials be directed to the Alzheimer's Association, Dyer County Cancer Fund or to the American Heart Association.
