Obituary

W.J. "Pete" Hudson, 62, of Dyersburg, died Saturday, November, 13, 2010 at his residence.

He was a retired robotic welder for Heckethorn Mfg., a member of Oak Grove Church of Christ, former employee of Colonial Rubber Works and Dyersburg Fabrics and a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Bro. Joe Wright officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.

The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Judy Hudson of Dyersburg; a daughter, Sheri Henson of Ripley; a son, Jeff Hudson and wife, Tammy, of Oakland; two sisters, Pat Reasons and Mary Alice Cooper, both of Dyersburg; and two grandchildren, Justin Henson and Cameron Hudson.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Mary Simpson Hudson.

Pallbearers will be Monty Holland, Fred Hanks, Rusty Hilliard, Mackie Joslin, Gayland Reagor and George Hollingsworth. Honorary pallbearers will be W.D. Hilliard, Toby Tatum, Buddy Asbridge, Tom Butler, Randy Pinkley, Eddie Hicks and Joey Reasons.

The family requests that memorials may be directed to the Community Cancer Fund, P.O. Box 1002 Dyersburg, TN 38024.
