Winnie Lou Johnson, 80, of Newbern, TN, passed away on Saturday, June 22, 2019 at West Tennessee Healthcare Dyersburg Hospital.

She was born on February 7, 1939, in Bondurant, KY, to the late Finis and Vera Mae Howard Ogden. Winnie was a homemaker and a member of Perfect Faith Tabernacle in Troy, TN.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 25, 2019 at New Haven Cemetery with Bro. George Moore officiating. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Monday, June 24, 2019 at Dyersburg Funeral Home.

Survivors include her two daughters, Judy Sykes Roberson and husband, Roscoe, and Linda Sykes Whitaker and husband, Larry, all of Newbern, TN; a son, Mark Sykes and wife, Kathy, of Milan, TN; a sister, Berneice Long of Paris, TN; a brother, Thelbert Ogden of Union City, TN; and five grandchildren, Josh Roberson, Matt Whitaker, Luke Whitaker, Bobby Sykes and Deborah Sykes.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Billy Sykes and Johnny M. Johnson; and nine brothers and sisters.

Pallbearers will be Chuck Campbell, Isaac Campbell, Dennis Roberson, Michael Long and Nathaniel Ogden. Honorary pallbearers will be all her brothers in Christ and her nephews.
