Winnie Inez Bargery, 91 of Jonesboro, AR. formerly of Ridgely, passed away on Friday, July 19, 2013 at her residence.
She was a retired employee for Ridgely Senior Citizens Program and she was the founding member and the oldest current member of Cottonwood Grove Baptist Church.
Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at New Haven Cemetery with the Rev. Mackie Prince officiating. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
The family will receive visitors from 1-2:45 p.m. Sunday in the Ridgely Chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home.
Survivors include her two daughters, Linda Caton of Ridgely and Melissa Haggard of Jonesboro, AR; two sons, Jerry Douglas Bargery of Tiptonville and Donald Larry Bargery of Ridgely; two sisters, Wilma Kemp of Eureka, MO and Annie Sue Huey of Plymouth, MI; a brother, James Carlton Hodges of Plymouth, MI; eight grandchildren, Kim Fowler, Ashley Smith, Misty Barker, Doug Bargery, Brent Bargery, Shari Stevens, Laurie Meyers and Seth Haggard; ten great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow "Doug" Bargery; a son, Robert Glenard Bargery; a grandson, Willard "Wicky" Bargery; and her parents, Brent and Icie Ross Hodges.
Pallbearers will be Matthew Knox, Caylan Bargery, Ryan Bargery, Brent Bargery, Leslie Haggard and Shelby Barker.
The family requests that memorials be directed to the Alzheimer's Foundation.
