Wilsie Mae Carson's Obituary
Wilsie Mae Carson, 83, of Newbern, passed away on Thursday, January 19, 2017 at her residence.
She was born on November 15, 1933 in Dyer County, TN to the late Roy and Fannie Roberts Wooley. Wilsie was a retired knitter for Dyersburg Fabrics, where she worked for 38 years. She was also a member of Calvary Hill Baptist Church.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. James Hooper officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
The Carson Family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Friday at Dyersburg Funeral Home.
Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Johnnie Carson of Newbern; a daughter, Tina Tull and husband, Cliff, of Dyersburg; and a son, John Carson of Dyersburg.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Bob Thetford, Irene Sipes, Kate Bush and Virginia Tweedy; and two brothers, Dan Wooley and Junior Wooley.
Pallbearers will be Chris Carter, Jimmy Flatt, Bill Garrett, Gabriel Davis, Ray Wendell and Lynn Mancell.
