Wilma Sue Pruett, 90, of Dyersburg, TN, passed away on Sunday, December 24, 2023 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.

Sue was born on August 31, 1933, in Dyersburg, TN, to the late John William Faulkner and Alice Bee Williams Faulkner. She worked in the knitting department of Dyersburg Fabrics and she loved to travel and shop. Sue was a member of Second Baptist Church and the Eastern Star.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 30, 2023 at Fairview Cemetery. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

The Pruett Family will receive visitors from 9:30-10:45 a.m. at Dyersburg Funeral Home.

Survivors include her daughter, Carolyn Salyards (Joe) of Friendship, TN; one son, Barry Pruett (Rochelle) of Dyersburg, TN; three sisters, Allene Plotner of Chicago, IL, Betty Ables and Rosie England, both of Dyersburg; eight grandchildren, Jason Salyards, Michael Salyards, Jake Pruett, Ashley Wright, Renee Bassham, Leigh Anna Veal, Joshua Pruett and Holly Byrd; nineteen great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Sue was preceded in death by her husband, James Leon Pruett; a son, Terry Pruett; and a great-granddaughter, Annaleigh Escobar.

Pallbearers will be Jake Pruett, Josh Pruett, Michael Salyards, Jason Salyards, Zach Bassham and Christian Escobar.
