Willie Darrell Pinckley, age 91, of Dyersburg, TN, passed away on Monday, December 29, 2025, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
Born on August 20, 1934, in Dyersburg, TN, he was the beloved son of the late Clifford and Arkie Jernigan Pinckley. Willie proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War, demonstrating his dedication and patriotism. Throughout his life, Willie was a hardworking individual, having been a welder for Oldberg Manufacturing, worked for the Railroad Company, and taken on roles as a truck driver and bricklayer. Even after retirement, his love for driving led him to transport vehicles for a local auto dealership. Willie had a deep affection for his dog, Ollie, and was an avid sports enthusiast. He cherished conversations with his friends and remained active in all his endeavors. His vibrant spirit and dedication to his work and hobbies will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, December 31, 2025 in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Mr. Rick Crawford officiating. Burial will follow in Dyer County Memorial Gardens. The family will receive visitors beginning at 11 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Survivors include his son, Richie Williams (Amanda) of Dyersburg, TN; three daughters, Lindy Ray of Dyersburg, TN, JoAnn Wallace (Shane) of Trenton, TN and Mary Ann Hartsfield (L.C.) of Blytheville, AR; eight grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Willie was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Ann Pinckley; two daughters, Brenda Lynn Gilbreath and Peggy Reynolds; two brothers, Jimmy Pinckley and Bobby Pinckley; a sister, Anita Woods; and a grandchild, Stacey Stephens.
Serving as pallbearers will be Lane Page, Mark Page, James McCorkle, Tyler England, Steele Arnold and David Terry.
