William A. "Weedy" Bargery, 81, of Ridgely, died Wednesday, December 1, 2010 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center.
He was a farmer, member of Cottonwood Grove Baptist Church and was a U.S. Army Air Force Veteran of the Korean War.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday in the Ridgely Chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Richard Bragg and Rev. Houston Northcutt officiating. Burial will be in New Haven Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors from 5:30-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Survivors include his daughter, Vivian Bargery Perkins of Ridgely; a son, Tony Bargery; a sister, Rosemary Eddlemon of Ridgely; his mother-in-law, Abigail Hyde of Ridgely; three grandchildren, Cace Rice, Nora Bargery and Emily Bargery; and a great-granddaughter, Georgia Kate Rice.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Theresa Bargery; his parents, Knox and Melba Allison Bargery and a sister, Carolyn Cole.
Pallbearers will be Jerry D. Bargery, Jackie Flowers, Kent Patterson, Shane Hamilton, Jimmy Eddlemon and Mike Humphreys.
The family requests that memorials may be directed to the Mid South Food Bank at 239 S. Dudley Street Memphis, TN 38104.
