William David Rice's Obituary
William David Rice, 74, of Dyersburg, died Monday, July 9, 2012 at his residence.
He was a retired maintenance mechanic, member of Second Baptist Church and a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force, where he worked as a jet mechanic.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Ronnie Turner officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth Rice of Dyersburg; a daughter, Mindy Rice Pinegar and husband, Richard, of Dyersburg; a son, David Rice and wife, Tammy, of Dyersburg; two sisters, Faye Hodge of Dyersburg and Aliene Darby of DeFuniak Springs, FL; a half-sister, Altie Jean Daniels of Dyersburg; five grandchildren, Ashley Rice Brooks, Justin Johnson, Blane Pinegar, Hayden Pinegar and Braysen Pinegar; and three great-grandchildren, Jaksen Brooks, Jayden Brooks and Ady Kate Brooks.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Stella Rice; and a sister, Melba Lois Rice Ellis.
Pallbearers will be Clifton Crews, Gerald Lee, Don Maxedon, Buddy Asbridge, Bobby Hatch and Anthony Hopper.
