William "Billy" Ralph Eudaley Tidwell, 93, of Dyersburg, TN, passed away Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at his residence.
He was born on August 18, 1924, in Midway, TN, to the late William Alex Tidwell and the late Dovie Haney Tidwell. Mr. Tidwell was a retired mechanic and shop foreman for John A. Johnston Company and was a member of Finley Pentecostal Church. William was a U.S. Army Sergeant serving his country during WWII.
Services for William Tidwell will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, January 4, 2018 at Finley Pentecostal Church with the Rev. Doug Ellingsworth and Bro. Mark Webb officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at Finley Pentecostal Church.
Survivors include his daughter, Joan Finley and husband, Gene, of Finley; a son, Scotty Tidwell of Finley; a sister, Susie Moore of Finley; five grandchildren, Kathy Webb, Kim Finley, Kelly Tucker, Jason Tidwell and Jennifer Reynoso; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Anderson Tidwell.
Pallbearers will be Wess Tucker, Jason Tidwell, Rickie Tidwell, Joe Allen Tidwell, Gerald Tidwell and Phillip Tidwell.
