William Franklin Miller, 75, of Newbern, passed away on Wednesday, September 10, 2014 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center.
He was a brick mason and a very dedicated member of Southside Baptist Church. He was a very active visitor and volunteer of nursing homes and hospitals, where he visited weekly and did monthly programs for them. Mr. Miller had just received an award for 27 years of volunteer services at Oakwood Community Living Center. He was an avid domino player.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Southside Baptist Church with the Rev. Loren Stephens officiating. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
The family will receive visitors from 6:30-8 p.m. Friday at Dyersburg Funeral Home.
Survivors include his wife of 24 years, Linda Miller of Newbern; a son, William Dee Miller of Newbern; a sister, Joyce Criswell of Dyersburg; seven granddaughters; four great-granddaughters; and two great-grandsons.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Manuel Miller, Sr. and Leatha Mae Gibson Miller; and a brother, Robert Manuel Miller, Jr.
