William Michael "Mike" Sipes, Sr., 71, of Dyersburg, TN, passed away on Sunday, April 3, 2022 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.

Mike was born on November 19, 1950, in Dyersburg, TN, to the late William Basiel Sipes and Frances Irene Wooley Sipes. During his younger years, he was an avid hunter and fisherman. Mike was an avid Jeopardy fan and everyone knew not to bother him while this show was on. He also enjoyed reading and cooking. Mike proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, April 8, 2022 in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Bro. Serge Shoemaker officiating. Burial will be in Hurricane Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, April 7, 2022 at Dyersburg Funeral Home.

Survivors include his son, Mikey Sipes, Jr. of Dyersburg, TN; a step-son, Rodney Lynn Barton (Tara) of Albuquerque, NM; two nieces, Angie Sipes of Dyersburg, TN and Cyndi Culpepper of Palm Coast, FL; two step-granddaughters, Claire Barton and Reid Barton; four great-nieces; and one great-nephew.

In addition to his parents, Mike was preceded in death by two brothers, Billy Sipes, Sr. and Donald Sipes; a step-son, Jody Lee Barton; a nephew, Billy Sipes, Jr.; and a sister-in-law, Lynn Brooks Sipes.

Pallbearers will be Jeremy Palmer, Willie Palmer, Ronnie Lowery, Ben Morgan, Adam Pride and Randy Brock.
