William Boyd Lovell, Sr., 70, of Tiptonville, passed away on Friday, June 27, 2014 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center.
He was a retired teacher of carpentry for Northwest Correctional Facility. William spent his adult life as a master builder of commercial, residential and industrial building. He attended Miston Baptist Church and he was a Mason.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in the Ridgely Chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Carmon Dennison officiating. Burial will be in New Haven Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Survivors include his two daughters, Vickie Stover and husband, Russ, and Julia Lovell, all of Ridgely; a son, William B. Lovell, Jr. of San Rafael, CA; a sister, Cammie Hall of Dyersburg; two brothers, Harold Lovell of Centerville and David Lovell of Dyersburg; nine grandchildren, Monica Hernandez, Natasha Sharp, Jon Ryan Stover, Jose Rodriguez, Gavin Stover, Paxton Stover, Keely Nichols, Cameron Nichols and Shaylee Nichols; and seven great-grandchildren, Layne Stover, Alex Claudio, Jordan Stewart, Anngeli Claudio, Jace Sharp, Jaxton Sharp and Mia Hernandez.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Bennie Thetford Lovell; a sister, Lizzie Faye Holmes; and a brother, Charles Lovell.
Pallbearers will be Gary Alexander, Kenny Lovell, Chip Lovell, Ricky Allen Baggett, Mark Baggett and Tim Todd. Honorary pallbearers will be Gary McCollum, Jr., Keith Lovell and Michael Todd.
