William T. Jordan, Sr., 91, of Dyersburg, passed away on Sunday, June 18, 2017 at his residence.

He was born on September 10, 1925 in Dyersburg, TN, to the late Robert Jordan and the late Ola Palmer Jordan. William was a retired employee with Ford Motor Company. He was a member of Christ United Methodist Church in Memphis and also a member of the West Tennessee Senior Golf Association. William served his country as a U.S. Merchant Marine.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Ed White officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.

The family will receive visitors from 12-1 p.m. Thursday at Dyersburg Funeral Home.

Survivors include his three sons, William T. Jordan, Jr. of Dyersburg, Stephen Robert Jordan and Fred Charles Jordan, both of Nashville; three grandchildren, James William Jordan, Brandy Andrea Jordan and Brandon Andrew Jordan; and nine great-grandchildren, William Gage Weatherly, William Han Jordan, Kylie Jordan, James William Jordan II, Brianna Kay Jordan, Martin Andrew Jordan, Adrianna Lark Jordan, Hannah Jordan and Henry Jordan.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Charleene Stephenson Jordan.

Pallbearers will be Clifford Nicholson, Nick Hogeland, Erick Hogeland, Tanner Burns, Tucker Burns and Roy Nicholson. Honorary pallbearer will be Jim Jordan.
