William Harold Gunter, 52, of Tiptonville, passed away on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at his residence.
He was a self-employed general contractor. William was a member of the Ridgely Church of Christ and also a member of the American Legion Post 174 as a retired Commander. Mr. Gunter was a retired Sergeant with the U.S. Air Force.
Services for Mr. Gunter will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Ridgely Church of Christ with Mr. Jeff O'Dell officiating. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
The Gunter Family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Ridgely Chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home.
Survivors include his wife, Sharon Gunter of Tiptonville; a daughter, Margo DeAnn Gunter of Johannesburg, South Africa; his mother, Sharon Stern of Clayton, WA; his father, Gene Forrest of Hornbeak; a brother, David Stern of Spokane, WA; and two grandchildren, Liam Coulter and Amy Coulter.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Gunter.
