William Matthew Forrest, 40, of Tiptonville, TN, passed away on Friday, May 28, 2021 at West Tennessee Healthcare Dyersburg Hospital.
He was born on February 26, 1981 in Union City, TN to William Edward and Cheryn Kay Armstrong Forrest. He graduated from Lake County High School in 1999 where he was Valedictorian, Mr. Lake County High School, and voted most likely to succeed. He then attended U.T. Martin where he graduated Summa Cum Laude with a bachelor's degree. He was an avid football fan, especially the Dallas Cowboys. He was the sports writer for the Lake County Banner.
Memorial services will be Saturday, June 5, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Dyersburg Funeral Home - Ridgely Chapel conducted by Rev. Jason Allison and Candace Forrest.
The family will receive visitors on Saturday, June 5, 2021 from 11:30 - 1:00 at Dyersburg Funeral Home - Ridgely Chapel.
Survivors include his wife, Lori Forrest of Tiptonville; his mother, Kay Forrest of Martin; his son, William Sawyer Forrest of Tiptonville; his daughters, Candace Michelle Forrest of Ridgely and Gemma Quinn Forrest of Tiptonville; his brother, John Taylor Forrest of Martin; and one grandson, Jackson Laine Forrest.
He was preceded in death by his father, William Edward Forrest.
Pallbearers will be Buddy Moore, Thomas Hollowell, Jason Adcock, Kevin Butler, Sam Mills, Cole Mathis, Steven Avery, John Lemonds, Quentin Lewis, Craig Lewis, Corey Glidewell and Mike Moore.
