William A. Finch's Obituary
William A. "Bill" Finch, 82, of Dyersburg, died Saturday, June 14, 2008 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center.
He was a retired employee of Dyersburg Fabrics and a 55-year member of Dyersburg First Assembly of God, where he served on the official church board.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Steve Stoner officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Dyersburg.
The family will receive visitors from 5:30-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Survivors include his wife, Covia R. Finch; a daughter, Cynthia Cowell and husband, Joe, of Dyersburg; a brother, Jere Finch of Memphis; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William H. Finch and Beunie Ball Finch; two sisters, Peggy Finch Hill and Nyreata Finch Free; and a brother, Tom Finch.
Pallbearers will be Jere Finch, Mike Free, Gerald Newbill, Doug Shepherd, Bobby Estes and Rollie Devor. Honorary pallbearers will be Lyle Adams, Rick Finch, Keith Free, Lloyd Easterwood and Wendell Walker.
The family requests that any memorials be directed to Dyersburg First Assembly of God Church or the American Glaucoma Association.
