William Robert "Bobby" Cagle, Sr., 67, of Dyersburg, passed away on Sunday at Tennova Healthcare Dyersburg Regional.

Bobby attended Hillcrest Baptist Church and had a membership at Halls Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving his country during the Vietnam War on the U.S.S. Nantahala. He was remembered for his ball playing at a young age. Bobby was an avid golfer and lived his life to the fullest. Making his last selfless act being an organ donor so that two people would have the gift of sight.

The Cagle Family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at Dyersburg Funeral Home.

A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.

Survivors include his daughter, Ann Butler and husband, David, of Trimble; a son, Bob Cagle of Chaffee, MO; his mother, Dot Cagle of Dyersburg; his companion, Regina Leggett of Dyersburg; and five grandchildren, Austin Cagle of Dyersburg, Shelby Cagle of Newbern, Garrett Hardin of Trimble, Alli Shelton of Obion and Tiffany Leggett DeSpain of Dyersburg.

He was preceded in death by his father, Bill Cagle.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
