Our family is incredibly saddened to announce the passing of William Timothy (Tim) Ball, 69, of Dyersburg, TN, who died at his residence on October 9th, 2023. Tim was born on June 14th, 1954, in Dyersburg to William Calvin and Mildred Beatrice Ball. He graduated from Dyersburg High School in 1972 and was a proud member of the Golden Trojans Marching Band. Upon graduation, he began his unique lifelong career in watch repair. He was the owner of Ball's Jewelry and later, Tri-State Watch Repair. He enjoyed a life surrounded by people who loved and respected him and was happiest spending time with his 11 grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Tim was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 27 years, Nancy Ball, as well as his parents; his brothers, Dan and Don Ketchum of Dyersburg, TN; and his sister, Patricia Hopper of Collierville, TN.
He is survived by his brother, Jimmy Ketchum of Dyersburg, TN; five children, Nancy Sue Clark of Dyersburg, TN; Amanda Clark of St. Louis, MO; Andrew (Halee) Ball of Slaughters KY; Sarah (Jason) McVey of McMinnville, TN; and Jennifer Ball of Fukushima, Japan; nine grandchildren, Brittany (Zachary) Camp; Skylar, Gavin, Lukas, and Maddie Ball; Everett Clark and Lillian Boyce; Isaac and Kathleen McVey; and two great-grandchildren, Noah Lopes and Annalee Camp. Tim is also survived by many treasured nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 12, 2023 at the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Dyersburg beginning at 10:00 a.m. Funeral services will begin at 12:00 with interment to follow in Fairview Cemetery, conducted by Dr. David Ketchum. Pallbearers will be Chad Johnson, Skyler, Gavin & Lukas Ball, Jason McVey and Zachary Camp. Honorary pallbearers will be Isaac McVey & Everett Clark.
We ask that memorials be made in Tim's memory to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
