Obituary

William Carter Alexander, 66, of Dyersburg, passed away on Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.

He was a retired terminal manager for Parsec Railroad and a member of Church of God of Prophecy.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. James Spivey and the Rev. Jerry Robbins officiating. Burial will be in Dyer County Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive visitors from 5:30-8 p.m. Friday at Dyersburg Funeral Home.

Survivors include his wife, Amy Alexander of Dyersburg; two daughters, Marsha Topolski (John) of Dyersburg and Charlotte Alexander Kirby (Rick) of Arab, AL; two sons, Brian Alexander and Jordan Alexander, both of Dyersburg; a step-son, Jacob Wilson of Dyersburg; his mother, Hazel Ligon Alexander of Dyersburg; two sisters, Shelia Walker of South Fulton and Sharon Davidson of Pope Station; four brothers, Vernon Alexander of Union City, Milton Alexander of Millington, David Alexander and Mark Alexander, both of Dyersburg; seven grandchildren, Bill Burkhead, Josh Burkhead, William Topolski, Montana Alexander, Kelly Topolski, Brooklyn Alexander and Race Alexander-Kirby; and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Peggy Alexander; and his father, Hubert Alexander.

Pallbearers will be John Topolski, Rick Kirby, Brian Alexander, Tommy Alexander, Jodie Reynolds, Jeremy Robbins and Jeff Alexander.
