Wade E. Richardson, 88, of Dyersburg, passed away on Sunday, April 16, 2017 at Dyersburg Manor Nursing Center.
He was born on November 3, 1928 in Lauderdale County, TN to the late, Paten O. Richardson and the late Anna M. Parks. Wade was a retired contractor and attended Fowlkes Methodist Church. He liked to hunt and fish and was also an avid coon hunter. Wade served his country in the U.S. Army.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Fowlkes United Methodist Church with the Rev. Allen Grant and the Rev. John Lowrance officiating. Burial will be in Bethesda Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Friendship. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
The Richardson Family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at Dyersburg Funeral Home and from 12-1 p.m. Wednesday at the church.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Barbara Richardson of Dyersburg; two daughters, Rhonda Thompson and husband, Glen, of Dyersburg and Cindy Walker of Florence, AL; a son, Ron Richardson and wife, Jackie, of Troy; four grandchildren, Clay Richardson, Destiny Shelton, Jon Richardson and Travis Peal; and eleven great-grandchildren.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Morris Richardson, Pate Richardson and Joe Richardson; and a son-in-law, Tommy Walker.
Pallbearers will be Clay Richardson, Jon Richardson, Dallas Richardson, Travis Peal, Jeremy Shelton and Jeff McAlister.
The family requests that memorials be directed to Fowlkes United Methodist Church, 51 Fowlkes Street, Dyersburg, TN 38024.
