V.L. Hubble, 90, of Covington, TN formerly of Dyersburg, TN, passed away on Sunday, March 5, 2017 at his residence.

He was born on September 23, 1926 in Trenton, TN to the late Virgil L. Hubble, Sr. and the late Mirla Holt Hubble. V.L. was a retired insurance agent for Home Beneficial Life Insurance Company and was also a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Covington.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Dyer County Memorial Gardens with Mr. Larry Fowlkes officiating. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Family members and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery.

Survivors include his son, Dale Hubble of Covington; a daughter, Barbara Waits and husband, Danny, of Covington; two sisters, Lawana Baker of Lakeland and Mary Jane Hutchins of North Carolina; four grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary E. Hubble; a sister, Jessie Lee Gantner; and four brothers, Ishmael Hubble, Jerry Holt Hubble, Joy Odell Hubble and Allie M. Hubble.

Pallbearers will be Jason Waits, Jarrod Waits, David Cox, Joseph Hubble, Jessie Waits and JoJo Hubble.
