Obituary

Virginia Hunt Wray, 88, of Dyersburg, formerly of Tiptonville, passed away on Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at The Highlands of Dyersburg.

She was a retired secretary for Production Credit Association, member of Tiptonville First Baptist Church, where she was an active member of Rebekah Sunday School Class, former manager of Tiptonville Wesley Homes and a former president of Margaret Newton PTA. She was a member of Lake County 911 Board, member of Lake County Primary Care Building and a charter member of the Tiptonville Public Library.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the First Baptist Church in Tiptonville with Bro. Jason Allison and Bro. Ray Goodgine officiating. Burial will be in Tiptonville City Cemetery. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

The family will receive visitors from 6-9 p.m. Friday at the church.

Survivors include her two sons, Jim Wray and wife, Wanda, of Dyersburg and Martin Wray and wife, Christine, of Cool Springs, TX; five grandchildren, David Wray, Amy Dudley, Alyssa Wray, Kendra Eyth and Blain Eyth; and six great-grandchildren, Grace Anne Wray, Tyler Hunt Wray, Ethan Wray, Emma Wray, Olivia Carter and Aidan Ashley.

She was preceded in death by her son, Bill Wray; and her parents, Orrin and Susie O'Connor Hunt.

Pallbearers will be Evan Jones, Keith Hulme, Terry Jamison, Hank Curvin, Blain Eyth, David Work and Sherrell Armstrong. Honorary pallbearers will be Norris Work, Skipper Pierce, Danny Armstrong, Ben Ragan and Jack Haynes, Jr.
