Virginia Goodrick Hayes, 92, of Tiptonville, TN, passed away on Monday, May 10, 2021 at West Tennessee Healthcare Dyersburg Hospital.

Virginia was born September 23, 1928, in Etterville, MO, to the late, O.A. and Grace Hicks Goodrick. She grew up in St. Louis, MO and graduated from Union University in 1948. Virginia taught at Tiptonville and Lake County High School for over forty years. She was a member of The Church of Christ, member of the Lake County Retired Teachers Association, member of the Tiptonville Women's Club and a member of the Friends of the Tiptonville Public Library.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 13, 2021 at Lake Memorial Gardens with Mr. Don Reel officiating. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Family members and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery.

Survivors include her two sons, David Hayes (Imelda) of Memphis, TN and Mark Hayes (Kelli) of Dyersburg, TN; and seven grandchildren, John Hayes, Andrew Hayes, Matthew Hayes, Lindsay Hayes, Ashley Hayes, Olivia Hayes and Colton Butler.

In addition to her parents, Ms. Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, Lindsay Hayes; a sister; and three brothers.

Pallbearers will be David Hayes, Mark Hayes, John Hayes, Andrew Hayes, Matthew Hayes and Colton Butler.
