Virginia Ethel Gourley, age 91 of Dyersburg, TN passed away Tuesday, September 7, 2021 at West TN Healthcare Dyersburg Hospital.

She was born on September 20, 1929 in Chicago, IL to the late Albert and Evelyn Trunka Walleck. Early on in life, Virginia was a city bus driver in Chicago, IL. After moving back to Dyersburg she became a homemaker, caring for all her children, grandchildren and extended family. Virginia loved to volunteer at the Union Mission here in Dyersburg. She was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church and also attended 1st Christian Church on occasion.

Graveside services for Virginia Gourley will be Friday, September 17, 2021 at 2:30 p.m. at Holy Sepulchre Catholic Cemetery and Mausoleum in Alsip, IL. Family and Friends are asked to meet at the cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be family and friends.

Survivors include her son, Tod Gourley (Shirley) of Clayton, CA; four daughters, Tanya Royal of Chicago, IL, Donna Gourley of Union City, TN, Dawn Kunatz of Flordia, and Sandra Richardson (David) of Dyersburg, TN; one brother, Ted Walleck of Chicago, IL; nine grandchildren and several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Theodore Walleck.
