Veton McGuire age 92 of Dyersburg passed away on Wednesday at Dyersburg Manor Nursing Center after a short illness.

Mrs. McGuire was born April 20, 1922 to the late James and Nora Henley Stallings. She worked for many years at HECO Mfg. in Dyersburg and retired from Revco Drug Store. She was a dedicated member of The Church of Jesus Christ.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Bro. Mickey Dodd and Bro. Tommy Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.

The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Friday at Dyersburg Funeral Home.

Survivors include her two sons, Dale Royce McGuire of Tatumville and David McGuire and wife, Pat, of Scott City, MO; two daughters, Donna Bane of Dyersburg and Loran McMillen and husband, Bill, of Jackson; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Phillip "Dock" McGuire; a son, Terry Wayne McGuire; and her twin sister, Beauton McGuire.

Pallbearers will be Terry McGuire, Larry McGuire, Phillip Allen McGuire, Scotty McGuire, Bill McMillen and Matthew Nelson.
