Velma Henson, 96, of Dyersburg, died Tuesday, November 30, 2010 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center.
She was a homemaker and a member of Oak Grove Church of Christ for 50 years.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Mr. Kenneth Westbrook officiating. Burial will be in Dyer County Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Survivors include her daughter, Barbara Gean Whitley of Dyersburg; a sister, Earline Albright of Farwell, MI; three grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and fifteen great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Malcolm Henson; a son, Jim Henson; her parents, Thomas T.E. and Carrie Robertson Gardner; a sister, Sue Alice Lynch; two brothers, Charles A. Gardner and David Alton Gardner; a granddaughter, Pamela Babbitt; a great-great-grandson, Dakota Cryts; and a nephew, Jim Gardner.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Whitley, James Roberson, Jeff Clifton, Matt Jackson, Rusty Hilliard and Tom Butler.
