Truman Allen Dishman, Sr., 69, of Dyersburg, passed away on Sunday, May 18, 2014 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center.

He was a retired supervisor for Jimmy Dean Foods and a member of West Dyersburg Church of Christ. He was a member of Jackson Area Plectral Society and an amateur radio operator.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Bro. Chris Fry and Bro. Jim Chamblee officiating. Burial will be in Dyer County Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive visitors from 5:30-8 p.m. Tuesday at Dyersburg Funeral Home.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Faye Dishman of Dyersburg; a daughter, Renee Dishman Viar of Yorkville; two sons, Allen Dishman and Chris Dishman and wife, Chasity, all of Dyersburg; five sisters, Dorothy Dishman and Susan Ledbetter, both of Livingston, Ottolene Gunnels and Vivian Harris, both of Rickman and Virginia Webb of Cookeville; a brother, Justin Dishman of Baxter; five grandchildren, Kayla Viar, Tyler Viar, Elisa Viar, Hunter Viar and Presley Dishman; and one great-granddaughter, Chloe Viar.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Oren and Edna McDonald Dishman; two sisters, Janet Mays and Dapho Dishman; and two brothers, Sherman Dishman and Hoyt Dishman.

Pallbearers will be Dale Woods, Ed Carwile, Dwain Johnston, Jackie Cole, Tommy Sims and James Wallace. Honorary pallbearers will be Gene Leggett, Lester Frost, Neal Singleton, Joe Bone, John Few, Chester Lee, Josh Felkner, Bill McBride, Novis Fisher, Mark Johnston, Jimmy Talley, Carl Hitchcock and Don Cheney.
