Toby Marr Horner, 78, of Dyersburg, TN, passed away on Thursday, February 18, 2021 at Methodist Germantown Hospital.

Toby was born on October 29, 1942, in Dyersburg, TN, to the late, John and Reba Maxwell Horner. He was the owner of Horner's Garage. Toby was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon and church treasurer. He loved his family and was a quiet humble man who walked with his Lord, and was a friend and witness to all who knew him.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, February 21, 2021 in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Matt Warden, Bro. Lynn King, Bro. Danny O'Guin, Bro. Phil Hall and Bro. Gary Durham officiating. Burial will be in Heflin Cemetery in Dover, TN on Monday, February 22, 2021 at 1 p.m.

The family will receive visitors from 1-3 p.m. Sunday, February 21, 2021 at Dyersburg Funeral Home.

Survivors include his wife, Faye Horner of Dyersburg, TN; a son, Jonathan Horner of Dyersburg, TN; a daughter, Melinda George (Jeff) of Dyersburg, TN; seven grandchildren, Matt Warden (Nan), Megan Lane (Cas), Kayla Dennis (Jamie), Daniel George (Lacey), Lexie George, Virginia Horner and Jonathan Marr Horner; and seven great-grandchildren, Linley Dennis, Caroline Warden, Andrew Warden, Eleanor Warden, Madelyn Lane, Gracey George, Kinsley George and Tobie Lynn Warden, whom will be here in 6 weeks.

Pallbearers will be Jeff George, Robert Horner, Don Horner, Jonathan Marr Horner, Jamie Dennis and Cas Lane.

Memorials may be directed to George Hancock Memorial Special Olympics Fund or to Dyer County Community Cancer Fund.
