In Loving Memory of Timothy Ray Seaton

Timothy Ray Seaton, 69, of Dyersburg, Tennessee, passed away peacefully at his home on July 17, 2026 with his beloved family at his side.

Tim enjoyed his time as an over-the-road truck driver and farm hand for his beloved Uncle Bobby. He took pride in an honest day’s work.

He cherished time with his family, never met a stranger, and could strike up a conversation with just about anyone. Whether gathering around a home cooked meal at the table with loved ones or enjoying a good buffet, Tim loved to share his time with those he loved. You’d rarely see him without his glass of iced tea.

One of Tim’s greatest gifts was his love for animals. From beloved pets to wildlife, he had a special connection with God’s creatures, and they seemed to love him just as much as he loved them. His kind heart was clearly evident in any situation with an animal in need.

Above all else, Tim knew and loved the Lord. His faith was true, and he had an incredible knowledge of the Holy Bible. He found comfort in God’s Word, especially towards the end of his life and was always willing to share Scripture in conversation with others.

Though he will be deeply missed, Tim’s legacy and love will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew him.

He is survived by his mother, Joyce Seaton; his sister, Lori Via (Ricky); his brother, Todd Seaton (David), Crystal Wilson (Mason), and his niece, Ashley Rogers (Heath)

Timothy was preceded in death by his father, Douglas Ray Seaton, his maternal uncle, Bobby Williams, his maternal grandmother, Willie B. Williams, his maternal grandfather, Edgar Williams, his paternal grandmother Mattie Seaton, and his paternal grandfather, James Seaton

The family finds comfort in knowing that Timothy is now healed and at peace in the presence of his Lord and Savior. His memory will forever be treasured, and his deep love for those he knew will never be forgotten.

Visitation will begin at Dyersburg Funeral Home at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, July 20, 2026 with Chapel Funeral Services to be held at 1:00 p.m. conducted by Bro. Royce McGuire.  Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery with Tony Walton, Don Smith, Mike White, Jimmy Hester, Heath Rogers and Emmanuel Yankey honored to serve as pallbearers.  

Timothy's family request that memorials be directed to the work of the Paws To Care Animal Rescue or the Dyer County Community Cancer Fund.
