Timothy Allen Bratton

Timothy Allen Bratton, 64, of Ripley, TN, passed away on September 23, 2026, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital. He was born on May 19, 1962, in Tiptonville, Tennessee.

Timothy will be remembered as a man who worked hard, cared deeply for those around him, and found joy in both simple pleasures and meaningful time with family. He retired as a correctional officer for West Tennessee High Security, a role that reflected his steady nature and sense of responsibility. Outside of work, he loved woodworking and enjoyed collecting coins and memorabilia. He especially treasured spending time with his children and loved ones.

He was also known for his kindness and willingness to lend a hand. Timothy was always helping his friends and neighbors, and that generous spirit will be remembered by all who knew him.

He is survived by his mother, Roberta Curvin Bratton; his son, John Robert Bratton of Chattanooga, Tennessee; his daughter, Abbey Rae Bratton of Franklin, Tennessee; and his brothers, Jeffrey Bratton and Kenny Bratton, both of Tiptonville, Tennessee. He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Leon Bratton. May his memory bring comfort to his family and friends in the days ahead.

Visitation for Timothy Allen Bratton will be held on October 4, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at the Dyersburg Funeral Home Tiptonville Chapel, 405 Church Street, Tiptonville, Tennessee 38079. A memorial service will follow at 3:00 p.m. in the Tiptonville Chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home.
