Thomas Wayne Jones, 66, of Tiptonville, TN, passed away on Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at West Tennessee Healthcare Dyersburg Hospital.

Thomas was born on January 25, 1955, in O'Fallon, MO to the late, Jewell and Leona Dunlap Jones. He was a retired employee with Sara Lee, was a member of Antioch Baptist Church in Hornbeak and was an avid University of Kentucky fan. Thomas was a Fireman for Tiptonville for many years and was a member of Harmony Lodge #184, where he had been a past Master.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 10, 2021 in the Tiptonville Chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Bro. Pat Murdock and Bro. Wilson Walley officiating. Burial will be in New Haven Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 12 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Survivors include his son, Mike Jones of Union City, TN; a daughter, Michelle Jones of Union City, TN; a step-daughter, Teresa Bennett of Ridgely, TN; two grandchildren, Lindsay Henson and Josh Henson; and two great-grandchildren, Linleigh Henson and Harleigh-Anna Henson.

In addition to his parents, Thomas was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Ann Jones; and a step-son, Tommy Poyner.

Pallbearers will be Dwayne Haggard, Leslie Haggard, Elmer Staggs, Bobby Staggs, Charlie Vickers and Dustin Simmons.
