Thomas Banks Burns, 75, of Dyersburg, TN, passed away on Friday, December 10, 2021 at his residence.

Thomas was born on December 30, 1945, in Dyersburg, TN, to the late, J.T. and Ollie Hurst Burns. He was a maintenance supervisor with the State of Tennessee and also worked for the Tennessee Pipe Company for nearly 20 years. Thomas was a member of Church of God, loved spending time with his grandchildren and tending to his lawn.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Monday, December 13, 2021 in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Bro. John Fine officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.

The Burns Family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Sunday, December 12, 2021 at Dyersburg Funeral Home.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Cannon Burns of Dyersburg, TN; a son, Tim Burns (Crystal) of Dyersburg, TN; two brothers, Nathan Burns (Dorothy) and Bobby Burns, all of Dyersburg, TN; three sisters, Lyda Bullock of New Albany, MS, Nita Enochs of Ripley, TN and Diane Kelley of Dyersburg, TN; three grandchildren, Tyler Burns, Matthew Burns and Tatum Burns; and a niece, Ashley Enochs of Dyersburg, TN.

In addition to his parents, Thomas was preceded in death by a brother, Ray Hurst.

Pallbearers will be Tyler Burns, Larry Owens, Matthew Burns, Carry Dale Enochs, Jason Enochs and A.J. Enochs.
