Thelma Irene Canada Houston's Obituary
Thelma Irene Canada Houston, 91, of Dyersburg, passed away on Saturday, January 9, 2016 at Tennova Healthcare Dyersburg Regional.
She was a retired supervisor for Troy Manufacturing and served as a Pink Lady at the hospital. Ms. Thelma was a member of Three Oaks Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School Class and was a choir member. She was also a member of the Senior Circle.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Phipps officiating. Burial will be in Terrace Hill Cemetery in Troy.
The Houston Family will receive visitors from 5:30-8 p.m. Monday at Dyersburg Funeral Home.
Survivors include her two daughters, Mary Yoshida of Hilo, Hawaii and Donnie Crisp of Cibolo, TX; a son, Richard Houston of Vero Beach, FL; her brother, Ray Canada of Kansas; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Temple Samuel Houston; a daughter, Sandra Houston; her parents, Jasper and Gertrude Pratt Canada; and one grandchild.
