Terry D. Detraz, 66, of Tiptonville, TN, passed away on Thursday, April 20, 2023 at his residence.

He was born on July 17, 1956, in Morganfield, KY, to the late David Carl Detraz and Mary Helen Strong Detraz. Terry was a fiber optic technician with Verizon and was a Catholic by faith. He loved to hunt and fish.

Memorial services will be held on Friday, April 28, 2023 at 11 a.m. in the Tiptonville Chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home conducted by Chaplin Matthew Nance. The family will receive visitors from 10 until service time at the Tiptonville Chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home. Cremation services are under the direction of Dyersburg Funeral Home.

Survivors include his wife, Roxanne Detraz of Tiptonville, TN; two daughters, Jennifer Waters (Mike) of Gainesville, VA and Rebecca Cartajena (Juan) of Chile; a step-son, Jim Ludy of Tiptonville, TN; a brother, James Detraz (Gloria) of Michigan; and eight grandchildren, Ashley Waters, Camdan Waters, Cooper Waters, Carson Waters, Canaan Waters, Mia Cartajena, Santino Cartajena and Jozie Ludy.

In addition to his parents, Terry was preceded in death by a brother, Rick Detraz.
