Teresa A. Varnes Wright celebrated her earthly birthday this past Friday and then celebrated her Heavenly birthday the following morning, August 23, 2014 as she went to be with her Lord.

She was an administrative assistant for the Superintendant of Dyersburg City Schools, a member of the Dyersburg Fire Department's CERT team, active in the Dyer Baptist Association Women's Ministry, and a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Dyersburg.

A worship service will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Mike Hickman and Andrew Wright officiating. Committal services will be held at 9 a.m. Thursday Eastern Time at Greenwood Cemetery in Knoxville. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

The family will receive visitors from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband of 31 years, Joe Wright, Jr. of Dyersburg; two sons, Andrew Wright and wife, Laura, of Dyersburg and Micah Wright and wife, Samantha, of Lakenheath U.S. Air Force Base, England; her parents, Clifford and Wanda Varnes of Knoxville; a brother, Jeff Varnes and wife, Liza, of Powell, a grandson, Everett William Wright of Dyersburg and her father-in-law, Joe Wright, Sr. of Knoxville.  She also leaves numerous nieces, nephews and friends who love her dearly.

The family requests that any memorials be directed to the Dyer Baptist Association Women's Ministry or to the DBA special Missions.
