Obituary

Tara Jo Stover, 28, of Newbern, died Thursday, Dec. 3, 2009 at Baptist Hospital in Memphis.

She was a counselor for Tennessee Vocational Rehab Center, a member of the Dyersburg High School Class of 1999, earned a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology from Union University in 2005 and a Master's degree in Community Counseling from the University of Tennessee-Martin in 2009, and performed volunteer work for Young Life, Life Choices, Transitions and Camp Rising Sun.

Celebration services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Dyersburg First Christian Church with Timm Johnson officiating. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

The family will receive visitors from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Monday at the church.

Survivors include her parents, Jerry and Vicki Stover of Newbern; a sister, Amy Stover Critchfield of Discovery Bay, Calif.; a niece, Mallory Critchfield; a nephew, Mason Critchfield; uncle and aunt, Ed and Barbara Eller of Troy; an aunt, Nancy Campbell of Poplarville, Miss.; and grandparents Joyce and Aaron Good of Dyer.

She was preceded in death by grandparents Ealon and Oweda Stover, and Clyde Riley.
