Sylvia Joyce Harris, 86, of Dyersburg, TN, passed away on Saturday, June 20, 2020 at AHC Dyersburg.

Sylvia was born on August 24, 1933, in Decatur County, TN, to the late Robert and Jessie Paschall Wheat. She retired from the Trim Department at Colonial Rubber and was a member of East Dyersburg Methodist Church.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 25, 2020 in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Bro. David Brooks officiating. Burial will be in Dyer County Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive visitors from 5:30-8 p.m. Wednesday, June 24, 2020 at Dyersburg Funeral Home.

Survivors include her two daughters, Martha Sorrell of Dyersburg, TN and Donna Mathis (Rob) of Largo, FL; a son, Mike Jones (Helen) of Dyersburg, TN; a sister, Jan Oliver of Texas; eight grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Sylvia was preceded in death by two sons, Gerald Bell and Tommy Jones; a son-in-law, Johnnie Sorrell; a brother, Robert Wheat; and two sisters, Wanda Lacy and Jewell Wheat.

Family members and friends will serve as pallbearers.
