Obituary

Syble M. Walker Lawton, 73, of Burbank, Ill., formerly of Dyersburg, died Saturday, Jan. 24, 2009 at her residence.

She was a retired retail sales associate and a member of United Pentecostal Church in Harvey, Ill.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Leonard Glover and the Rev. Eugene Bishop officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.

The family will receive visitors at 5:30-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Survivors include her husband of 52 years, James Lawton of Burbank, Ill.; three daughters, Jackie Sell and husband, Tony, of Bourbon, Ind., Jo Faulkner and husband, Ron, of Warsaw, Ind. and Barbara Bishop and husband, Eugene, of Dyersburg; two sons, Jim Lawton and wife, Gwen, of New Port Richey, Fla. and Paul Lawton and wife, Noelle, of Mankato, Minn.; a sister, Jan Tucker and husband, Jere, of Dyersburg; three brothers, Quenton Walker and wife, Kathryn, Wendell Walker and wife, Joy, and Donald Travis Walker and wife, Corrine, all of Dyersburg; 13 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Wes and Grace Walker.

Pallbearers will be Toby Sell, Troy Sell, Ryan Faulkner, Adam Faulkner, Doyle Wood and Tobey Patton.
