Sybil Sykes Johnson age 95 of Belleville, MI, formerly of Dyersburg, TN, passed away on Tuesday, November 15, 2022 at her residence.

Sybil was born on February 14, 1927 in Lenox, TN to the late James and Cora Kolwyck Sykes. She was a homemaker for most of her life and enjoyed sewing and taking care of her family in whatever way she could. Sybil loved her Lord and Savior and faithfully attended church here in Dyersburg and Michigan.

The family will receive visitors on Monday, November 21, 2022 from 1:00 until 2:30 at Dyersburg Funeral Home. Graveside Services will be Monday, November 21, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. at New Haven Cemetery in Ridgely, TN conducted by Bro Billy Tucker.

Survivors include one son, Ronnie Johnson (Amy) of Westland, MI; two daughters, Judy Fleming (Larry) and Carol Cook both of Belleville, MI; five grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leland Junior Johnson; one brother, James Sykes Jr. and four sisters, Mary Jane Morgan, Shirley Hendren, Margaret Jones and Gloria Glass.

Honoring Sybil as pallbearers will be family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family ask that memorials be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital in her honor.
