Mr. Stephen Douglas Bryant, of Newbern, passed away Thursday, October 5, 2023 at West Tennessee Healthcare-Dyersburg Hospital.  Steve was born July 21, 1962 to the late William J. & Ruth Bryant.  He was a long-time employee of World Color Press in Dyersburg, where he loved the relationships he had with his coworkers.  He enjoyed duck hunting and off-road riding with friends in his free time.

He is survived by his son, Doug Bryant & wife, Amy, his granddaughter, Claire Ophelia Bryant, of Richmond, Va. his mother, Ophelia Ruth Bryant, his sister  Paula Davis & husband, Jackie, his cousin, Robin Drinkard & wife, Jean, his niece, Holly Fortner & husband, Joey and his beloved canine companion, Dixie.  He is preceded in death by his father and his niece, Michelle Davis.

A casual memorial gathering to celebrate Steve's life will be held at Church Grove Baptist Church in Newbern TN on Sunday, October 8, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. led by Pastor Greg Jordan.  Honorary pallbearers will be Howard Runions, Roger Little, Kevin Massey, Mike Brown, Robin Drinkard, Barry Wallace, John Lee, Jessie Bohannon and Neil Smith.

The family ask that memorials be directed to the Dyer County Ducks Unlimited Youth Programs.
