Stanton "Stan" Adair Forsythe, 73, of Finley, TN, passed away on Friday, December 29, 2017 at Tennova Healthcare Dyersburg Regional.
He was born on June 11, 1944, in Dyersburg, TN, to the late Bivian Forsythe and the late Virginia Roby Forsythe. He was a retired farmer and was a member of Finley Baptist Church. Stan served in the Tennessee Army National Guard for eight years.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, January 1, 2018 at Dyer County Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Charlie Halliburton officiating. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
The Forsythe Family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Sunday, December 31, 2017 at Dyersburg Funeral Home.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Doris Forsythe of Finley; a son, Keith Forsythe (Angie) of Finley; a brother, Scotty Forsythe of Dyersburg; two half-brothers, Brad Forsythe of Memphis and Adair Forsythe of Dyersburg; two half-sisters, Donna McDivitt and Vivian Archie Forsythe, both of Florida; a grandson, Kent Forsythe (Whitney) of Finley; and three great-grandchildren, Jackson Forsythe, Grady Forsythe and Walker Forsythe.
Pallbearers will be Joe Smith, Steven Spires, Dashial Campbell, Doug Walk, Jerry Moore and James Lee. Honorary pallbearers will be J.R. Tucker and Tommy Pylent.
