Sonjia Lynne Tolar, 76, of Ridgely, TN, passed away on Sunday, September 1, 2019 at The Bridge at Ridgely.

She was born on July 24, 1943, in Ridgely, TN, to the late Vernon and Phyllis Chamberlain Cox. Sonjia was a secretary at First Baptist Church in Ridgely and John Deere. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Ridgely and was also a member of the Ridgely Junior Women's Club.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at First Baptist Church in Ridgely with the Rev. John Coleman and the Rev. Mickey Hanks officiating. Burial will be in New Haven Cemetery. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, September 3, 2019 at the church.

Survivors include her husband, James "Bubba" Tolar of Ridgely, TN; a son, Jay Tolar (Christy) of Collierville, TN; a daughter, Sandy Wilson (Macky) of Tiptonville, TN; a sister, Debbie Thorn of Jonesboro, AR; and five grandchildren, Emily Anne Wilson, Allison Marie Tolar, Haley Carol Tolar, James Hunter Wilson and John Hunter Wilson.

Pallbearers will be Macky Wilson, James Wilson, John Wilson, Jackie Flowers, Tolar Flowers and Joe Fracchia.

Memorials may be directed to St. Jude Children's Hospital or to First Baptist Church in Ridgely.
