Silas Newton "Bubba" Osborne, Jr., 78, of Hornbeak, passed away on Friday, November 14, 2014 at Baptist East Hospital in Memphis.
He was a retired Chief for the U.S. Coast Guard, where he served for 20 years. His last assignment was the Coast Guard Intelligence Branch. He was the owner of Barefoot Small Engine & Locksmith.
Cremation services are under the direction of Dyersburg Funeral Home.
Survivors include his daughter, Patti Osborne of Tiptonville; a son, Brian Osborne of Obion; two sisters, Barbara Wood of Ridgely and Sylvia Garmon of Florida; seven grandchildren, Charla Archie, Bethany Osborne, Kayla Osborne, Jamie Lyon, Alyee Osborne, Emylee Osborne and Keifer Osborne; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Silas, Sr. and Mildred Cartwright Osborne; and a sister, Martha Sue Lovings.
