Sidney Lynn Waller, 72, died Sunday, November 25, 2018. His birth took place on Monday, November 18, 1946, to Wilmer C. and Hazel Moore Waller of Dyersburg, Tennessee. He worked throughout his adult life in the construction, transportation and manufacturing industries until health problems forced him to retire. He was the primary caretaker to his parents after his retirement.

He had a great love of children and animals. In 2001 he served as a Bogota School volunteer helping special needs students, and monitoring children in the cafeteria and on the playground. He has a compassion for animals, especially dogs and leaves his dog Brudy, a faithful companion for ten years.

He is survived by his brother Larry Waller (Diane) and sister, Vicky Waller of Dyersburg and a sister Ginny Morales (Richard) of The Villages, Florida. He also leaves one niece, Fayne Crook of Halls, and three nephews, Lynn Waller and Michael Waller of Newbern and John Exner of Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Cremation has been completed under the direction of the Dyersburg Funeral Home. The family would also like to acknowledge the many friends and caretakers of Dyersburg Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date for family and friends. In lieu of flowers please honor him by making a contribution to a charity of your choice.
