Shirley Ann Roberts Noble, 80, of Dyersburg, passed away on Monday, February 16, 2015 at Oakwood Community Living Center.

She was a retired registered nurse for Dyersburg Fabrics, where she worked for over 20 years. She was a lifelong member of First United Methodist Church. Shirley was active in various civic and church organizations throughout her life and was a lifelong resident of Dyersburg.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Dr. David Russell officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.

The family will receive visitors from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesday at Dyersburg Funeral Home.

Survivors include her two daughters, Teresa Matthews of Dyersburg and Linda McWilliams of Halls; six grandchildren, Michael Alley and wife, Talia, Troy Matthews, Greg Smith, James Matthews, Jeff McWilliams and Ryan Smith; and two great-grandchildren, Katelyn Matthews and Presley Lewis.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Lloyd Noble; two daughters, Cheryl Noble Smith and Jan Noble Waller; her parents, H.G. and Nettie Welch Roberts; a sister, Peggy Roberts Murphree; and a brother, Pat Roberts.

Pallbearers will be Michael Alley, Troy Matthews, James Matthews, Jeff McWilliams, Rufus Noble and Jerry Roberts.

The family requests that memorials be directed to First United Methodist Church or to Matthew 25:40.
